In 2017, Access was successful in securing funding to start a Mobile Attendant Services program with service availability 24 / 7 / 365 with on-call service availability.
Mobile Attendant Service means Consumers are able to stay in their own homes therefore they do not have to move to receive this type of service. The staff would come to the Consumer’s home and also they would be able to call in between bookings if they had an unexpected service need.
This Mobile Service is meant to support people whose service needs can’t be adequately met through Attendant Outreach services. This service has Personal Support Worker trained staff available 24/7 in a geographic area to meet the needs of people with physical disabilities on a mobile basis.
